Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis Stands Firm On Hateful Beliefs, Still Refuses To Give Licenses To Same-Sex Couples

Although three separate Kentucky courts (from both federal and state legislation) have ordered her otherwise, Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis is still refusing to hand out marriage licenses to same-sex couples — and now, she’s making her point publicly.

On Tuesday, following her fourth dismissal of couple David Moore and David Ermold, the defiant woman; who faces possible jail time for continuing this farce, stood in front of a crowd inside of the state-run office and claimed that”God’s authority” allowed her to hold off on doing her job, and not adhere to the rulings of the judges she’s faced, or July’s Supreme Court ruling.

“To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience,” she expressed in a latter statement. “It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision.”
